If you notice over to the right hand side of the screen you see a place where you can call me! If you click on that you can call me and it rings on my computer. You can also call me from a phone as well at 765-518-6105 and it will ring at my computer. If I do not answer, that probably means I am either not at my desk or out doing something else. At this point I am not sure if you can leave a voice mail or not but if not just email me at tkeesling82@gmail.com and tell me that you tried to call me and then we can set up a time to talk. This is a free feature nationwide at least until the end of the year. If they start charging after that though, I may have to disable it. So if you have time and want to try it out, give me a ring!

Web server down

Well, I know.... I've been real busy with my online classes and also starting my new business "TRK Computer Services" I can be found @ http://www.trkcomputerservices.com come on by and visit especially if you need a website or computer worked on. I have even made a way for you to pay for all services online through pay pal. Anyway, here in the near future I will probably be looking at completely reworking my TimKeesling.com website. There are some issues as some of you may have noticed. Most of the issues are with display between different browsers that will need to be fixed. I've learned a whole bunch about web development over the last few months of online courses. I have been making websites since 1996 but these courses have shed a whole new light on the way websites should be made. Accessibility is a major problem these days with most websites. They say that around 85% to 90% of all websites are not accessible to those with disabilities! What a waste huh! Well, I for one am going to try to start adherence to the accessibility standards in my own work. Well, I'll stop being so windy for now. Just thought I'd get on here and let everyone know what's going on! I can't believe that it is here. Rob said last night, "It really got here fast." I have to agree. It seems like it was just yesterday that Rob recieved is notification and entry in the mail. Needless to say, it has been a busy day today. Getting clothes packed not only for Rob and I, but also for Jon and Dan. They are staying at Mamaw and Papaw's house while we are gone. Tim will be at home working for Radquest and also working on his online classes. We took Jon and Dan to Mamaw and Papaw's tonight that way they don't have to get up early to go with us to the airport. We did some last minute shopping, haircuts, etc. Now we are packed and ready to get up early in the morning and head to the airport. I have to say though that we are not taking one person with us that we had originally planned on taking. My sister, Cherie, was supposed to go with us. Unfortunately, she had to go on a business trip to Kansas City, instead. She has paid for the hotel and our airfair. Also, she is out the money for her plane ticket because they are non-transferable. I can't begin to thank her enough!!!! I LOVE YOU,SIS!!! Rob says, "THANK YOU, AUNT CHERIE!!!" Well, must go to bed now. Next blog should be from NYC!

Two Days to WKC...

Well, the last couple of days has been trips to go shopping....shopping....and...shopping. I have emailed and sent some requested pictures to the reporters that are going to interview Rob. Rob talked on the phone with one of the reporters last night for a little while. We are planning on going tonight and getting him the promised new suit. We are also planning on going to the local 4-H project night and signing the boys up for their 4-H projects for this year.

Right now at our house, we are dog-less. It is really strange to not have any dogs here. Missy (Shih Tzu) is at my mom's and Baxter is, of course, with Eileen in New Jersey (I think that is where they are right now, anyway). Even the kitten is missing them. I see her going to where their crates sit and look around, like she is lost or something.

It looks like the weather is going to improve and be nice for the trip! No snow in the forcast until after we get back home. Right now the plan is to take Jon and Dan to my mom on Saturday night. They are going to spend a few days with Mamaw and Papaw. Mamaw and Papaw are going to take them to school, so they don't get that kind of break. Tim will be home with EB (the kitten) and working for Radquest on some websites for them while we are gone. Tim is taking Rob and I to the airport very early on Saturday morning. Our plane leaves at 9 am, so we plan on being there before 7 am. On Wednesday, Jon and Dan will ride the bus home from school. Tim, Jon, and Dan will then come to the airport and pick Rob and I up on Wednesday evening. Our plane is supposed to arrive at about 7 pm. We will get Baxter from Eileen, when she arrives back home on Wednesday night also.

Prep for Westminster continues...

Today Baxter is leaving for Westminster with Eileen Hackett. Rob is a little worried that Baxter will not be happy with us when he sees us in a week. After he got back from the Vet on Friday from having his teeth cleaned, he acted mad at Rob. We had taken him to the vet on Thursday afternoon and picked him up Friday afternoon. I told Rob that after a week of not seeing us, Baxter will be so happy to see him that he will not be mad at all, besides he will be with one of his favorite dog friends, Ross, and a few of his favorite people. We are taking Baxter over to Eileen's this afternoon. Rob has been gathering all of Baxter's supplies and been cleaning the crate, bowls, blanket, and etc. He has gathered the grooming supplies, food, leads, and etc. for the trip. All of that will go with Eileen also. We are gathering Rob's show clothes and deciding what all we are taking with us. On the plane we can take one carry-on bag and one "personal" bag each. We have been contacted by a couple of people who wish to interview Rob at Westminster and they are having us send some pictures ahead of time. They are wanting pictures of Rob and Baxter doing all the different activities that they have done in the past. Activities like: hunt tests, obedience, showmanship, breed, and just playing around at home. One is reporting for a couple of magazines: Dog Watch and Dogs for Kids. The other one works for Westminster and is putting a video interview on the Westminster KC site. So, you will have to check out the Westminster site during the show to see it. I will try to let everyone know when the magazines are published.

ONE HUGE CABBAGE

Over the summer of 2008, Jon was commissioned to grow a cabbage from Bonnie Plants. This plant was given to him from his Elementary School and is part of a Bonnie Plants Third Grade summer project. Each "STATE" winner receives a $1000.00 scholarship I believe. Well, this summer it just so happened that Dad had planned a big garden in our small (in town) backyard. So, as it was, we planted the little cabbage plant and it was about 4 inches tall. Over the summer Jon worked on debugging and weeding and fertilizing (with a bit of help from Dad) to help the plant grow...and did it ever grow! We watched in amazement as the plant got bigger and bigger until it was time to harvest. As we had thought all along, we were to turn a picture of Jon's cabbage in the first day of school (his fourth grade year still 2008) along with the weight of the cabbage. We were happy to send the picture of the HUGE cabbage in along with a report of 30 lbs. Wow...30 lbs., that is a bunch of cabbage. Well, we waited and waited to find out what would become of Jon's results. The results unofficially came and it was said that Jon had won for the school! We were so happy. So we waited and waited to see (by checking the Bonnie Plants website) if they would ever post the winner of the State of Indiana. Well, we just found out today 01/31/2009 that Jon has WON the State of Indiana. We were getting very worried that all the hard work was going to waste because of the results being delayed so long. Well, anyway I would like to see some comments on this, but please just comment on Jon's cabbage as he will be looking for some uplifting encouragement. You can check a sideshow of Jon's cabbage out from this link: http://jkeesling.sytes.net but please be advised, this is our home server and it might or might not be running, so, if you get an error, just come back and try again after reporting it to me..Thanks.

Preparing for Westminster Kennel Club Show

It all began when Rob obtained his 10Th Open Intermediate Class Win in June at the Valpo dog show (Valparaiso, IN). He was there with a pro-handler friend, Eileen Hackett. This was just a month prior to his Dad's accidental severe burn. He received his invitation in November and sent in his acceptance shortly after that. He is entered in both Junior showmanship and Breed. At the end of November, we made reservations to stay at the Hotel Pennsylvania, which is right across the street from the show site. The WKC show is held at Madison Square Garden on February 9Th and 10Th. My sister, Cherie, is greatly assisting us. We had planned that she would attend with Rob and I, but she is now unable to attend due to work obligations. She obtained round trip tickets for us on US Airways from Indianapolis to Newark, NJ. Rob is both excited and a little scared to fly, since it will be his first time. This last week, we took Baxter to the vet (GIBC club member- Rob Rich, DMV) to update his shots and obtain the required Health Certificate for him to travel to and from NYC. Baxter goes back to visit the vet this Friday to have his teeth cleaned. Smile pretty, Baxter. :-) He will be traveling with Eileen Hackett and Jenna Curtis (THANK YOU!!!). Rob and I will leave Indy on Sunday Morning at about 9 am and will arrive in Newark around 1pm. I am planning on posting about our trip, the show, and how all the GIBC representatives do at the show. I hope to get lots of pictures to post also. I know that several GIBC members have dogs that will be there and Rob will be the representative in Juniors. There are 4 juniors from Indiana who qualified (3 of them are from Central Indiana-Rob, Sarah McAtee with her Field Spaniel, and Audrey Carter with her Aussie) More info to come soon. :-)

Told ya so...

Well, this evening I became a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He made this car in his shop class, actually he said his teacher cut the car out due to the danger of cutting off fingers! Anyway we worked on it for three days, priming and sanding then painting then sanding and painting again and then....wheeew, clear coating it and then putting stickers on. Of course Rob had to put his favorite band name down the front between painting and clear coating. Rob found out that it hurts his fingers to push down on the paint nozzle! He did a great job and learned a little as well! We will see how it does at school, evidently, they are going to race their cars against each other. I guess there is an Open Design Champion which focuses on looks and then there is the Racing Champion which obviously would be the fastest car. I'll post in the comments section how well he did after tomorrow.

Welcome to Tim's NEW BLOG

Hello and welcome to my new blog page.
